Admission Requirements

Admission requirements will vary between departments, and between Canadian and international students.

Department of Biomedical Engineering

The admission requirements for the Department are an undergraduate degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.3 or higher on a 4 point scale for the most recent two years of full-time study (or equivalent). Students entering the Individual Interdisciplinary Studies Program with the Department as one of the two departments must meet the admission requirements of the Department.

Other Departments

All departments in the University require a minimum grade point average (GPA) for acceptance into their programs. In some cases this is higher then the minimum set by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research of 3.0 on a 4 point scale in the most recent two years of full-time study (or equivalent). Prospective students should check with the department to which they wish to apply regarding entrance requirements.

International Applicants

Students from countries other than Canada should check here for minimum entrance requirements, but note that the tables given are for a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 and thus will need to be adjusted for departments requiring a higher entrance GPA.
